Kith Cafe – Choose from 8 Locations

Kith Cafe is one of the first cafes I visited in Singapore, 6 years ago when I arrived, that gave me hope for a decent cup of coffee. The branch on the river is still my favourite, just not on the weekend when its jammed with kids. The riverside location, outdoor seating and good ranging menu still have something for everyone.

Kith Cafe has since expanded in leaps and bounds. There are now eight Kith Cafe outlets across the island. Sadly their popular location at Quayside in Sentosa was closed due to a massive rent hike, but it’s great to see they’ve managed to expand and multiply. One thing I love is that the staff are always friendly at Kith. I’m assuming they pay better than some other cafes. Regardless, they deserve recognition for providing a quality service, expanding to serve different areas and their consistently good food and coffee.

The Menu

kith cafe at robertson quayI’ve always liked the menu at Kith Cafe. You can order light bites like a toasted sandwich, but you can also go for a big plate of pasta, a giant salad or make your own breakfast combination. My favourite meal at Kith Cafe will come as no surprise, brunch. The smashed avocado with poached eggs ($16++) is an enormous serving, piled high with kale, and a lovely pesto to mix through. Pricing is reasonable throughout, with serving sizes on the generous side.

The Coffee

chicken and mushroom sandwich from kith cafeA standard coffee at Kith Cafe is two shots, so I don’t have to ask for changes. Their coffee is slightly on the bitter side, but it’s decent and I often stop in to get my Keep Cup filled if I’m going past. Coffees are priced between $4++ and $4.50++, very good value for decent coffee. They also know what a piccolo latte is 🙂

Meeting Rooms

Three of the Kith Cafe locations now have meeting rooms that are available FREE OF CHARGE. There is a minimum spend, depending on the room. We booked one of the rooms at Ascott Orchard for our AGM this year. We’re a charity so we had zero budget, but since we were all happy to order lunch we easily fulfilled the minimum spend.

Meeting rooms can be booked at Ascott Orchard, Marina Square and Millenia Walk. The rooms are spacious, flexible and come with audio visual equipment if you need it.

My personal favourite amongst the new locations is Winsland House (Oxley Rise, behind Penang Road). It’s spacious, with indoor and outdoor seating, and the menu is extensive.
